The full authority digital engine control, also called FADEC, guarantees the pilot control of the turbine via a simple selector with three options: STOP - IDLE - FLY, leaving the complex part of management to the electronic system.
FADEC - Easy to Fly:
STOP: With the selector set to stop, the turbine is off
IDLE: By setting the selector to idle, after 20 seconds of system check, the electric motor starts and consequently the turbine stabilizes at 65% rpm, ready for any take-off
FLY: With the selector on fly, the turbine revolutions increase and stabilize, waiting for the pilot to raise the collective, and take off.
The FADEC system independently manages the amount of fuel to be injected into the turbine, adjusting the power output as needed. At take off, by raising the collective, more energy is required and the FADEC system increases the fuel injected inside the TK-250, resulting in an increase in output power.
